The Unit of Rescue of high nountain (USAM), has its seat main in the City of Yungay, Peru, on the feet of the colossal one snowed of the Huascarán, the highest mountain of the country.

USAM is unique in their sort in South America, created in October of 1998 and put in operation the 4 of June of 1999.
